Gala Riverboat - Glasgow City

Fantastic place for a night out. Staff are always friendly and accommodation. You will never be bored there is always somthing to do from the tables to slots and bar and restaurant with excellent food an service. Its also good because its open late for all those waiting for a train home defo worth the visit.

We recently visited restaurant for a birthday, the food was first class and cooked to perfection, the service was really good with friendly staff, we all had steaks and all agreed that the meal and atmosphere of the casino was excellent. a really good night out.

Dined here with family on 5pm big deal, 2 courses glass of bubbly £10 bet . Staff were friendly and efficient , food was good although choices limited . Will definately return in the future

Decided to go to the Riverboat restaurant for a meal. Made the booking on line which was very easy. On arrival, we were shown to our table and offered a drink. On looking at the menu, there was something for all tastes. We decided to forego starters and chose two small plates to share instead chicken and herbs with hummus and chicken satay. Both were lovely. My husband chose a steak for his main and I had the beer battered cod. Both were accompanied with skinny fries and veg. Hubby's rump steak was beautifully cooked and the batter on my cod had just a hint of beer which was lovely. The only disappointing part of the meal was the chocolate roulade which was very tough. The waffles were lovely though. The portions of all three courses were not overly huge, it was just right and we left clean plates. We both had soft drinks with our meal, which were not charged for, as are all soft drinks in the casino. All for under £40. The staff were very polite, courteous and attentive. All in all, a nice Saturday night out. :

The riverboat is an impressive casino come restaurant Style is based on an American type ship in the Huckleberry Finn era Downstairs there are many slot machines and tables and as you go up the stairs leads to the restaurant and bar area Depending on the day you go Thursday Friday and Saturday being the busiest Can be fun as they have a singer mostly at the weekends The slot machines don't always payout as per the recommended 90% but it can be fun nevertheless Currently the jackpot is sitting at £20,000 so someone will win that The staff there are changeable which is a shame from customers point of you We recently lost Ian he was fantastic in the slots area, he was supporting your needs and wants from the bar and restaurant area Staff are so important to any business as they are the front line to your shop In terms of the restaurant facilities upstairs it's not as good as one would expect from a casino making money, they need to introduce special offers to entice people to come and eat here as it is difficult to park unless from 6 o'clock onwards in their private parking area all in all a good visit
