Chats Cafe - Glasgow City

Certainly not what I expected from a Marriott hotel in terms of service or value for money. Carpark very difficult to get a space in.

Instead of walking to a pub in the dreary weather, decided to eat here. Was impressed by the large 60) collection of single malts. The 25ml serving allows one to taste a few and not have to drive home! I had a burger and fries. Commendable!

Lunch was nice, a bit on the pricey side and the service a tad slow, but we weren't in a hurry it gaves us a chance to chat and catch up, staff very friendly, even allowed a tester of the soup as we weren't sure we would like it. turns out it was lovely and we ordered a bowl each. shared a sandwich together as it was huge, would have been too much for one person

Chats is busier than most hotel bars with football (soccer) on the screens each night and live music on Fri/Sat. The staff is cheerful and relaxed-you can hang out on a single drink without pressure. Family friendly as well. The free wifi is available in this area. Drinks are pricey but within expectations.

If not busy working and ordering room service, pop down and eat in the bar, there are the old favourites, burger,fish n chips etc. They do bring in specials on a regular basis,currently main paired with a beer. Interesting,good interesting.
