Globe Gizzy - Gisborne

The transformation of the old Marina Restaurant into the Globe is fantastic. I love the outdoor area, which features its own bar, plenty of seating, and beautiful views. You can enjoy bar snacks and drinks outside, with a full menu available indoors and on the veranda. They offer nice sharing plates, so you'll want to order a few if you're planning to have a meal. The dishes are delicious and well-prepared, although do keep in mind that the portion sizes are on the smaller side. It’s slightly on the pricey side, but definitely worth it!

Fantastic location, very reasonable prices, and the food is incredible! The cocktails are even better! The front-of-house staff provided wonderful service, and the restaurant was clean and cozy. It’s a great spot for dining and socializing with friends. Highly recommend!

The food here was incredible! I absolutely loved the ceviche and the crème brûlée. The service was prompt, which was great, but it felt a bit impersonal. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Just had a catch up outdoors at this venue, haven't yet experienced the dining. But for outdoors grabbing a drink and having a catchup, this outdoor bar thing was great, and the staff member was very attentive to our needs ordering, tidying up the table and even deploying umbrellas when the weather decided to turn. Recommended.
