Soleluna - GENOVA

The pizza is one of the best and Maurizio Rômulo are the perfect hosts bringing a bit of Naples to your table. Great place to eat not only pizza, but kebabs and fish.

Me and some friends went for dinner here. We waited for 45 minutes to sit outside. After we ordered, it started to rain. they didn't offer any alternatives and brought us our food, eventually placing two upside-down umbrellas on top pf our table to reduce the rain falling on us. It started to pour and no-one cared. We couldn't eat as we had to hold our own umbrellas to keep water away. this all got worse when another client tipped over the upside-down umbrellas over all our food and my friend. She was soaked to the bone. So we had to leave as she was shaking of cold. They made us pay for everything (we barely touched the food) didn't even apologized, and made us wait 20 min for the bill, on top of it all. I can't begin to describe how bad it really was. I don't care if the pizza is good. There are plenty of good pizzas out there.

It's not always easy to find real Naples-style pizza in the North of Italy. This place is a find. It's in the Nervi quartiere of Genova which in and of itself is worth a visit. It has a very informal atmosphere that can be pretty noisy, but who cares when the pizza is so good! I had a pizza with tomato sauce, cheese, and spicy southern Italian salami, and it was delicious! This is my go-to place in Genova for pizza now.

I love pizza. While in Italy I try to have pizza at least once every other day. In most cases I try a different place each time simply because you can. I was absolutely astounded at the quality and options of pizza at Pizzeria Sleluna. I ended up there twice and would have gone back again and again if not for my insistence in trying other places. Nothing came close. I guarantee you WILL NOT find better in Genoa.
