Rook : Sri Lankan Fusion - Geelong

We ate here recently to celebrate a family member's birthday. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful as we were unfamiliar with Sri Lankan food. We all enjoyed our entrees which included fish cakes, chicken rotv and lentil patties. The main courses included hoppers which are basket type creations with egg and came with a curry, sambal and other accompaniments. Delicious and spicy rather than too hot although dishes can be adapted to taste. The desserts included a Nutella hopper and a yogurt based dish with treacle. As it was a special "foodie" event we had three courses for $30 which we considered to be great value. Rook is BYO and only charge $2 per person for corkage. We all had a great night out and enjoyed our Rook experience.

Looking for vegan/vegetarian option in Geelong and found this place. Lovely clean restaurant, decor was warm and inviting and staff were lovely. Food was very tasty and wholesome. Feels like the food is cooked with love and care and we all enjoyed our meals. Will visit again :)

Having never experienced Sri Lankan cuisine before we were pleasantly surprised by the fact that it is nothing like Indian food and brings a whole new dining experience to Geelong. The service was super friendly and informative. We will definitely be back.

With every second restaurant being Indian selling much of the same thing it was a welcome change to come to rook and see a simple menu, limited choices but all delicious. Welcomed by extremely accomodating staff and a smiling chef everything we ordered tasted as though it was made with passion and we left satisfied. A return visit will be a must

The service was amazing and we were guided through the menu so that we were confident with what we ordered. The food didn't disappoint. Can't wait to return to try more.
