Osteria Fiorenza is easily one of the best dining experiences to be had in Geelong. The authentic Italian and Mediterranean cuisine is simply sublime; clearly cooked with love and care. Fancy fancy but oh so tasty. All of the food we ate was superb. Yes the servings are small, but that is made up by their incredible flavour. The cheese and tomato starter was super fresh and not too heavy. The seafood pasta was packed with flavour and a little bit of spice. The chicken scallopini was divine, the best I've had. It's not a dish I'd usually describe as refined, but Osteria did it well with a rich velvety sauce. The panna cotta was airy and light, with the smoothest possible consistency, yum! The restaurant itself is tiny, with only sixteen seats. The ambiance is intimate albeit a little stuffy. Overall, the food and wine (Chianti) was top notch.
