Berggasthof Garmischer Haus

Ate at this place several times, mainly because there were not a lot of other options. Staff were rude and seemed annoyed with the fact that that they had to deal with customers.

Restaurant has been renovated and transformed into a full self service place. The Schnitzel is really cheap, but Germknoedel, Chili con Carne, Goulash soup and Kaiserschmarrn are ok. Therefore if you don’t have high expectations and want to be fast to continue skiing ASAP, why not.

This place is not a patch on what it used to be. Poor food and its only plus is that the adjacent Dreimoser 9 is worse. Tiresome pop musak and a crappy yellow white striped tent that they don't ever take down add to the gloom. The bar is shut in summer and they shut the Hausbergbahn in summer so you can avoid the mess. It should be cleared but no-one seems bothered which sums the place up. Nice ski lifts but what awful places for that well-earned rest
