I have put off writing this review for far too long, but only because I don't want my favourite restaurant to become so busy that I can no longer get a table. I simply love this place and it's a wonderful breath of fresh air in a town that is overfilled with schnitzel and spaetzle. Marcus prepares his menu from scratch daily, depending on whatever is available in the market. He always offers a choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 deserts, but he will create something off the menu upon request. He is a fan of Jamie Oliver and emulates that type of cuisine- simple but elegant. Emphasis is on freshness and quality and his dishes have NEVER disappointed. His family is involved in running the restaurant and their passion for what they do really shows through. The table service is outstanding. The wine list is excellent and great value for money. We have been there now more times than we can count and we will continue to go there every time we are in Garmisch. We are fans for life.

Marcus prepares everything from scratch. He typically has two appetizers, three to four entrées and two desserts give or take. This family owned and run place is a real gem in the center of Garmisch. Outside seating is provided when the weather is splendid.

Food is made with fresh, local ingredients. Meals are heavily salted (for my tastes). Outdoor seating is available on a quiet backstreet directly off the Fußgängerzone.

Family owned and run you can chose between 4 or 5 entrees made from scratch every evening. Very cosy inside (only 6 tables), great food, excellent wines!
