Fisherman’s Kitchen - Garland

I absolutely love coming here! The food is always amazing, and some of their seafood pots are surprisingly affordable. The hush puppies are out of this world! The booths are spacious and comfortable, making for a relaxed dining experience. They also have fantastic happy hour prices. The atmosphere is laid-back, and I really enjoy the music they play since it’s far from the typical corporate background music (having worked in the restaurant industry for a bit, I really can’t stand that kind of music). As for parking, it’s conveniently located right out front.

Wow! I used to be hesitant about going to seafood restaurants because I thought the food would be too spicy for my taste. However, I decided to give this place a try, and I'm so glad I did! I was completely wrong all along. The food here was absolutely amazing! I had no idea that you could choose your spice level. I opted for the Cajun butter sauce, and it was simply the best. I brought my wife, daughter, and grandson along, and everyone loved their meals. I understand that there’s an extra charge for the corn, potatoes, and eggs, but I was surprised by the additional cost for the sauce. All in all, I spent $221.00 because of the add-ons. I highly recommend this restaurant! I just hope they start offering some specials soon.

It was absolutely delicious! I visited this restaurant when it first opened and thought it was just okay. However, I returned a couple of weeks ago and was blown away! The sauce is perfect, and the frozen crawfish (since they're out of season) didn’t have that typical frozen taste. I honestly couldn't tell they were frozen, and I usually can! Our server, Chris, was exceptional and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. We tried the crab legs, crawfish, and mussels (not shown) along with corn and potatoes. The atmosphere is lovely, with current top songs playing in the background. You won’t be disappointed!

Food was fantastic! The sweet tea was sweet!! Every bite was flavorful! I cannot wait to go again! The scallops were lovely! The garlic snow crab and shrimp were divine; I peeled the shrimp and let them soak in the garlic butter while I worked on my snow crab legs. Served along with a corn on the cob 1/2 and medium sized potatoe–it was a heavenly tasting dish! I left full and not overly stuffed, and wanting to taste more. Wait staff service was not at its best that night.

I really like that you can ask for NO spice and that's what you get. We're old, have issues, and can't tolerate spicy foods. Most seafood places don't care and just pay lip service.Catfish, unseasoned fries, slaw hush puppies!
