Burtons Grill - Gaithersburg

As I read Hamid Mohebbi 5 star about his amazing review about Very attentive staff. Server made fantastic recommendations on food and drinks , I did not get that experience. I came in with a date on Friday around 5pm, and greeted by a nice host and seated us to a nice booth by the kitchen door looks like. While looking at the menus and drink list ,my date forgot her ID so I went to the car and grab it. I found it finally and starting walking back to the restaurants. Icame in behind a couple who got seated down close to where i was seated. When i came back my date told me no came for waters and orders. We waited for a good 15 minutes and decide to leave when i saw the couple that I came back in with wastaken care of first before we did. My advice to people is to make sure you make a reservation and dress like you got money. Maybe you get a 5 star review then.

Nice atmosphere for casual dining; nice date spot. Service is friendly, but showed signs of newness. Mixed drinks were pretty good; wings with dry rub were tasty and crispy if a tad too salty. Steak frites was very good. A little pricier than I expected $120 lunch for 2 1 drink each, 1 app), but not out of line for the area. This spot is good now, and should be even better once they get past their growing pains.

We went lastnight for their first day soft open. Very attentive staff. Server made fantastic recommendations on food and drinks. The steak and frites was delicious, steak perfectly seasoned and great flavors in the parm truffle fries. Also loved the pomegranate martini and their Old Fashioned. Excited to go back soon. Glad to have them in the neighborhood.

Food was decent for the price. Service was excellent. We had some appetizers. The General Tsos cauliflower was great. Chicken cordon Bleu and salmon risotto were enjoyed as mains. My Max burger with cheddar cheese substituted for American cheese was cooked perfectly to the request. The fries were seasoned well and fried just right. The short rib was ok. Nothing special. I am giving the restaurant three stars because we were sat at a makeshift table that used furniture pulled from the patio. It was also by the door to the patio on a freezing cold night. The staff were nice enough to switch one of the tables when I asked. I didn 't even consider why the table was so unstable until after dinner. I 'm an amputee and sometimes use the table for balance to stand while wearing my prosthetic. One time when my wife and I were out I used a similar table to assist and it flipped over. I warned the hostess and asked if we could be moved. The rest of our party had yet to arrive. They were a few minutes late. There were 6 person and larger tables empty. I was told that the other tables were already reserved. I get that. So was ours. A party of 4 is smaller. I get it. Fit more customers. But seriously. That was not cool. We should have been offered a discount on our check. Yes we tipped 20% anyway. Ok maybe it was 19.98 or something crazy to round out the change. Please understand that our four two person tables were the only ones from the patio used in the entire restaurant. I have no documentation other than the fact that I was with three other people and two employees of the restaurant interacted with us. It was days ago. I 've been busy but I haven 't forgotten to mention this to the management. Please don 't arrange your dining room with outdoor furniture to fit extra guests.
