Food was very good.mushroom strudel was excellent.waiter was atrocious-dripped wine while pouring and wiped the bottle with bare hands.He called over he 19yo college student to sell the good wine. He knocked over my wifes water.Nevertheless food won over bad service.

The Embers is simply the best choice in Gainesville FL for a quiet, special and elegant evening. The blue crab bisque is the best we have experienced and the filet was selected and prepared perfectly (recommend ordering rare). AMAZING. Way better than marks prime or dragonfly--out of this world food!. This place truly is a hidden gem. The staff was the kindest. Must get the braised beef or steak or fish or lobster potatoes or crab bisk ANNNNDDD BANANA'S FOSTER CHEESECAKE!!!
