Germain's Chicken Sandwiches

Germain's Brussel Sprouts are divine, but the chicken sandwiches and fries are average at best. Parking is tricky and sometimes you'll have to walk from the neighboring shopping center if you want to eat at the restaurant and not get towed.I've been to Germain's a few times to try different menu offerings, but now I go strictly for the veggies. Their sandwiches are made with chicken thighs which would normally be great, but something about the way it is prepared leaves the meat a little rubbery on each bite. Combine that with their dense sandwich buns and you'll have a scenario where each bite forces sandwich toppings out of the sandwich. This has made every sandwich I've tried there particularly messy. The parking lot is small for the number of stores in the shopping center and most of it is a construction site, so a nearby parking spot is hard to come by. On more than one occasion I've pulled into the parking lot to snag some sprouts but could not find a spot to park, so I had to go elsewhere. Service is excellent as is the atmosphere indoors. They have is a quaint patio adjacent to a 5 lane road, so outdoor seating has its pros and cons.I'll be back to attempt to order veggies, but won't recommend it to friend looking for a chicken sandwich because of the subpar offerings and parking scenario.Wheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessible

We’ve been to 2 dinner date nights and the food was BIG CITY GOOD! Rigatoni previously and tonight had the mussels, fantastic with the flavorable sauce, lamb ragu was out of this world. Also had the best Brussels sprouts ever which is on the regular

Not a food critic, just a guy who likes good food. This… is good food. Plain and simple.

One of my favorite places to eat in Gainesville. By far the best chicken in town; great atmosphere and fantastic service.
