Mozart - Funchal

Without a doubt, the best restaurant we visited during our stay in Madeira. All employees were absolutely brilliant, well humiliated and attentive, they all helped to remind it to an occasion. The set menu was fantastic value and food, and drink all included, very good quality. Presentation was also excellent. To overdo everything, we had a saxophonist in the evening to offer entertainment. Clearly recommended.

What a wonderful restaurant! From the moment we arrived and Marla looked after us, things went from great to wonderful. The menu is varied and we chose the fish soup which came steaming and really delicious. I then had garlic chicken (the Brahms) and hubby had white grouper. Both were beautifully presented and were accompanied by several well-prepared vegetables. Wine was excellent and coffee sublime. Overall an excellent choice and would highly recommend.

I only have wonderful things to say about Mozart! The food was amazing (our favorite meal we had while on the island), and the service was fantastic. Our waiter was dressed as Mozart himself, greeted us by name (and with complimentary champagne), and was extremely friendly. We ordered the scallops, beef wellington, and linguine nero with shrimp. Complex, tasty dishes cooked with a lot of flavor. The crème brûlée and soufflé were phenomenal. We’ll be thinking about the soufflé for the rest of our trip. The atmosphere and classical music was the cherry on top to an all-around lovely dining experience.
