Thai Basil - Fullerton

Really like this place, like that they are open late. Pricy these days. Got fried rice and an entree to go and it was $32.

Terrible food. Ownership has changed. Food was very very low quality. Soup was pure corn starch. Fish was served in runny water sauce. Chicken was bad quality. Hard to eat.

The pad thai was excellent, and we ordered a vegetarian soup that was light and refreshing with a lemony flavor. We requested spice levels of 8 and 10, but it turned out to be more like a 2 and 4. While it was still tasty, it could have been spicier. The service was fantastic, and the prices were reasonable.

The lunch special is reasonably priced, but unfortunately, the food was quite underwhelming. The Penang chicken tasted bland and seemed like it came from a box rather than being homemade. I was very disappointed.
