Madame Pluesch - Füssen

There is a reason this is one of the best restaurants in Fussen, Tanya (the owner and chef), takes you on a nostalgic journey through Bavaria with recipes from her grandmother and decor bringing you back to 1800’s in Germany. Each aspect of the decor...is specifically chosen and means something or is someone she knows. The food is amazing, the steaks are incredible. We ended up going here two nights in a row, as Tanya and her friendly staff were so kind, and she actually spent a while sitting with us and showing us pictures and explaining Bavarian culture. Both nights the staff took time and made us feel relaxed and welcome. The steak is the best choice, but we also tried the Bavarian meat platter which was good, the garlic bread is great, the potato soup is shockingly phenomenal and the cheese dumpling soup was okay. The chocolaté soufflé was amazing and the cheese pancake was okay, Tanya also made us a cheese platter that wasn’t on the menu. The plates looked great with details in decorating, particularly the desserts. Make a reservation, as she was turning people away all night. They are doing the best we saw compared to other restaurants in Fussen to keep customers safe during Covid and have reduced tables to be sure people are safe. You won’t regret a dinner here and we would likely come back to Fussen just to eat here again.

Excellent. Slightly apprehensive as it was their reopening night after lockdown closure. We need not have worried. The service was outstanding, our waiter so attentive. The decor is quirky, but interesting, it really works. The food was exceptional, and so much of it. Strongly recommend...this wonderful restaurant.

I was very disappointed that this server lead us to one of the two tables where you can hardly put two large plates when there were a lot of empty spaces. These tables were located right in front of the entrance too. When we sat...down, another couple walked in and they could even pick a table. It was another server who gave the option to the couple, but I was really upset and honestly wanted to walk out. But we kept calm and just ordered water. In the end, the server who gave us the table offered us another table. I think he examined my face and noticed that I was upset. If this didn 't happen, I would have given the restaurant at least average . The food was just okay. They serve typical German food and it was rather salty for me. I don 't know if it all happened because I am East Asian (My partner isn 't) or because we are rather young. It was one of the most horrid restaurant experience in my 4 years of living Germany.

Food was OK but asking people to spend €50 before they will accept a credit card is robbery. The food was good but not exceptional. There is no excuse.
