The At Villa Frigiliana

My wife and I went for the first time to the restaurant at the Hotel Villa Frigiliana on a quiet wednesday eve. 4 more couples were there; however, it seemed to be almost far too many for the poor old waiter, who only knew a few English words. The restaurant is pleasant, quiet music, enough distance between tables in order to keep intimacy. We had Today's Menu to choose from: 4 different meals in each category. Price: 15 € for 3 incl. a glass of wine water. My wife had a fine average salad, a very fine rosada filet and a good cheesecake along with a cup of tea. I had the same except for the salad. Instead I chose the carpaccio which appeared to be toasts with sardines on tomatoes?? Everything was tasty and the white wine was good. The total price of 39 € was absolutely fair, since we also had 2 pints.

I was given a surprise birthday lunch here (this was the first visit for all four of us) we were delighted with the food on the menu del dia. Good choice on all of the courses the food was well presented tasted great. I was surprised at the end with a small gratis birthday cake thank you chef.

Don't miss eating here while visiting Frigiliana excellent value. Hotel has changed hands and the new owners have great plans to expand on the hospitality side. Food beautifully presented, in nice surroundings and excellent value. When we were there 9.95 euros for 3 course lunch and 14.95 euros for 3 course dinner ! We will be back !!

Perfecto para probar comida tradicional después de visitar el pueblo. El servicio es excelente. Sin duda volveremos.

El restaurante Melaza sirve deliciosa comida típica de la zona con generosas porciones y buena presentación. El servicio es excelente y los precios son justos. Recomiendo Melaza para disfrutar de una comida con la familia o amigos.
