Whiskey Cake Baybrook - Friendswood

Love it. My date and her family took me here for my first time. Ordered the chicken and waffle. Honestly I've had better chicken and waffles. But it's not gonna hurt my rating to this place. Between the ambience, service, experience. I definitely plan on coming back one day. Next time I'll just order something different. Also, there restrooms are different, but in a good way. Clean and somewhat dark w/ large wooden doors for stalls.

Fun spot for lunch with friends (although warn your friends the place is a bit pricey). We had a friendly and eager waiter. Some great drinks! And we tried their take on the classic Chicken And Waffle (malted waffle, crispy chicken tenders, sunny up local eggs, maple syrup, house country gravy), the Lemongrass Shrimp Noodle (wild arugula, shaved cabbage, snap peas, hand-shucked corn, vine ripe tomatoes, radish, thai basil ginger dressing), Baby Kale with Rotisserie Chicken, and sides of Quinoa-Shaved Brussels Sprout Salad and the Smoked Gouda Mac N Cheese. Then a slice of Whiskey Cake for dessert. We'll be back!

The food quality was excellent, I needed some dietary modifications that our excellent waiter DANE tried to help me with, but there are not many low carb low/no sugar options available. But the quality was VERY nice!

We discovered Whisky Cake last night and absolutely loved the place!! We shared the goat cheese fondue and OG OMG burger, both of which were amazingly delicious.

Second time coming here, and it doesn't disappoint. The food is fantastic, with good alcohol, and combined with good service, truly a place I plan to come back. If you like southern food, try the fried green tomatoes. They are amazing, and while they have them in their summer menu, the devil eggs are delicious
