Friday's Crabhouse - Friday Harbor

Came multiple days during my trip to San Juan! Our usual fare was alcohol, so I can't speak TOO much on the food, but the fish and chips I got was good....

Food is awesome, service is friendly and the location couldn't be better. Their view of the harbor couldn't be better.. The top deck is the best place to eat.

I think it could be a fun place but they really messed up our order and never came to tell us that. I had to ask after waiting for over 30 minutes. Turns...

Great view. In 20 seniors from a sailing tour on Spike Africa. Many wanted some seafood after they were on the water most of the day. Some needed an adult drink or two and the Crabhouse came through. I tried the captain plate, a little of everything, according to the recommendations of a local. He loves the fish as he is slightly baked. It was a Tuesday and my complaint is that the frying oil had to be replaced and filtered, as the fish was very dark on the bread, instead of a golden brown. The oysters were over and the scallops were done right. The shrimps were okay. Most of my people liked what they got, but next time we'll try somewhere else.

Great food, but strange service or lack there! We didn't see signs or directions, so we just took a few seats at the bar on the street. Amazing view! We sat for a while and hubby finally went to the bar to ask for menus and drinks. The guy said safe, here's a menu, you'll pay or open a tab! That's it! We have penetrated the menu, placed our order and set us back. Someone screamed our name pretty fast! They delivered food and drinks, each time screaming our name as if for the first time!! Between drinks, soup, tacos, oysters and a Polish dog, that was 6 times!! The food was amazing, everything!! The smoked salmon cutter was thick and rich in the right amount of salmon and shells. The fish and shrimp tacos were grilled and beautiful spicy, not exaggerated. The polier dog is huge! But these oysters were phenomenal! Grilled to perfection and the caper broth they add is brilliant! I definitely recommend Fridays, especially for the Chowder and Oyster, and will surely come back!
