Contribuiți la feedbackWe went to coho to celebrate my brother in the birthday of the law, as it seemed to be a special place to have a good time and enjoy good eating - the presentation is very pleasant and the ambiente seems nice then the dinge started to happen. first they called us to change the reservation to an hour later (8:30 a.m.) because they had made a mistake when booking. the whole day was planned to throw a wrench into the plan. after the reorganization of the activities and the timetable we came to the place (a small, beautiful house near the center) and were immediately down. the server had our table ready, but from any reason he didn't seem happy to have us - no smile, completely flatter ton and monotonous. then he came to our table and began to let us know that ~20% of the menu was no longer available – thanks to our “late” due to the changed sitting time. we tried to order a bottle of wine, but that was no longer on stock (the proposed replacement by the waiter was sufficient, but very frustrating that nothing was available. our server seemed to be in a pretty gloomy mood, and he did not have to make our stay pleasant. he seemed to try, but it was very half-hearted and woke up after the first words. eating was really good with a critique - the temperature was something on the low side. this is beber ideal, but even less if the court they have is goat (which would otherwise have been great) we wanted to get a dessert, but there were also no options. only vanilla and chocolate ice cream. before we made the food, as it was too late (again, because our reservation was raised and we came when most people were gone) he brought us our sheck (not unusual) and began to clean all the other tables and stack the chairs on them. no warm fuzzy feeling. all in all, I would not recommend spending their money at this place only on the basis of the service. Pity, as the cook is good and eating is very nicely presented (although cold as mentioned). The bill was not cheap- the restaurant is safe fine eating- and the entire customer experience made us feel very disappointed and unpleasant. I will not return soon and not recommend it. had been a nice “coulder”.
Terrible eating. the server was so strange and not accommodating at all. the restaurant was empty and the server was still not accessible. at one point they turned off the music! it felt like they were closing. what an incredible disappointment. the food took forever, and it wasn't good. no care. There's advertising everywhere, but don't fall on it.
It is therefore a very charming restaurant with a very beautiful waitress. the food is very dirty. tasteless. I thought maybe they'd eat something different than Mexicans since coho with what seems to be a bit like shown. I asked for more of the rice was told to the boil burned that she would bring me more when it was finished cooking. never seen it again. I also have the grapefruit tequila the sadst part of the alcohol I have ever bought. maybe 2-3 ounce liquid maybe 1 shot tequila and the rest of grapefruit. $15 for a very small drink. it tasted like grapefruit juice. I was very disappointed by ratio to juice tequila. I usually do not drink that it was a special opportunity to drink only grapefruit juice, they can see the small portion size clearly. $15 is a lot of money for the terrible quality of the drink. coho was very busy with reservations only or they have luck and outside sitting. the place is very graceful, but eating without the side clothes, provided I would not even taste the food. for the first time on san juan island not sure that I feel so welcome with the no parking signs placed anywhere near Friday harbour. I may get a tourist season, but tourist should not feel unwilling or be pushed out. the personal was beautiful, seemed to be overwhelmed today. just pop-up menus? but there is a coho menu that has never been provided by the personal.
I felt like we had arrived in a night. local in the opposite shaved over this restaurant, but our youngest culinary experience was a little disappointing. the restaurant had a themed kitchen at night Mexican dishes, but it felt as if they had not properly prepared the waiting staff. the waiters didn't even know how to explain horchata! we hoped to try local cuisine, but were surprised to find that the normal menu was replaced by what felt like a stylized rendition of tacos and deceit that left us shortly after looking for another meal. will try this place again at the next visit the island because of the call we heard from others, but this first impression was a bit let in
I would love to give this restaurant a higher rating. I am a foodie and felt that the wine for archipelago was great, the food was a bit light on portion (still hungry) and a bit daring for my taste (chicken feet. . One of my husband and myself favorite things to do when we go on vacation is to find good restaurants. We had our whole trip booked and my husband's 45th birthday we were schedule to eat at Duck Soup. But, the head chef of Coho, Samantha Dechristopher, offered to come and cook for us on his birthday. We gave her some money in advanced and kept in touch via text. The day of his birthday she said she would be there around 7:30 PM. We text with her throughout the day joking with the family that she might not show, but immediately saying no one would do that to someone on their birthday. 8:00 PM rolled around and she text us that she was running late, our reservation at Duck Soup was at 8:00 PM so we were now committed to this new plan of Samantha Dechristopher making birthday dinner. She texted at 9:56 PM she said she was still stuck at the restaurant for a hot minute (the restaurant is not open on Sundays) At 11:00 PM when we sent a text to her saying Are you not coming? She had shut her phone off. Our elderly parents and party of eight went to bed hungry. My husband did not get a birthday dinner/dessert. On San Juan Island everything closes by 9:00 PM, there is not a single grocery store or gas station etc to get food. Coho's head chef, Samantha Dechristopher is a flake and if I owned the restaurant I would not continue to employee someone who treats clients so unprofessionally.
