Sushimura used to be part of the Sosushi franchise and the menu is still basically the Sosushi menu. This means that it 's mostly rolls, really. Lots and lots of different types of rolls hosomaki, uramaki, futomaki, temaki more or less all of the ones you 're used to and maybe a few that you haven 't heard of. But there are only about six or so types of fish on the menu (and in the rolls) by my memory, salmon, tuna, raw shrimp, cooked shrimp, surimi, cuttlefish, octopus, and I may be missing one or two, but that 's about it. So if you are a real sushi fan and you 're hankering for some unagi or some fatty tuna or even something fairly basic like mackerel, you won 't find it here. But then again, you sure as heck won 't find it anywhere else in Frascati, or anywhere in the Castelli Romani, for that matter. Italian food culture is closed, and in small towns like Frascati, it 's already a suprise to have three ethnic restaurants that you can eat decently at. The best part about Sushimura is that the fish that they do have is really fresh. The salmon on a recent visit was really as good as any I ever had, which helped to make a basic salmon temaki into something sublime. There are some good non sushi menu items too. The yakisoba is fantastic. Unfortunately, here as well, the number and variety of choices is very limited. It may be that the limited menu helps the owner to keep serving the Frascati community with very fresh sushi. It 's just that it invariably leaves you wanting more. A final note: the menu prices are not low by local standards (sushi is expensive in Italy), but the all you can eat lunch special for €14.90 is quite a deal. I think there are evening specials too be sure to ask.
I couldn't believe such a small town in Italy could have a sushi restaurant that good!!! But it does! I tried food I never had before and it was FANTASTIC!!! And had a very good Chardonnay from somewhere in Italy that the guy who runs the place suggested me. Very good mood. Good job guys!
Only one Sushi restaurant in Frascati. Refreshing after too traditional heavy and oily italian food.
