Contribuiți la feedbackThe food was beautiful, we ate the morton bag bugs and the bark with kartoffel galaxy. as others have said, the service was terrible from the beginning as soon as we went into the door. we had to visit the personal to order drinks and food. my cocktail was terrible. extremely upset. our deconstructed cocktails didn't get any explanation of what was on the board. the atmosphere is also not great, lighting much too bright and I do not remember listening to music. the facility in restaurant is beautiful, but some of the seats are quite awkward. would only come back for eating if they got new employees! forget to mention: the waiter chased us out after we had paid and went...read more
The lunch is back what a fantastic afternoon at the nickel with friends for lunch! the great decor brings them back to the thirty years with the background jazz that creates a pleasant environment. we were welcomed and taken on our table and immediately offered water during the review of the extensive wine list. we started with a few icy cold beer while we went through the menu. eating was spectacular, natural coffin bay oysters with the mignonette were so fresh they tasted as if they were fresh from the sea. duck liver parfait macaroon presents beautiful was an unusual combination of duck pate and very sweet macaroon. the star of the Entrée selection was the beetroot cured kingfish with the...read more
Very disappointed. Nice enough decor and drinks but service was marginal and no one cared that I didn't eat most of my meal which was inedible

The staff are all happy little campers, and our French? waiter is very helpful. What else could I start with but a glass of champagne? I had spanner crab cakes for entree that little wire basket just went on and on! This was a lovely starter; full of crab, a soft filling, with a crisp coating. The aioli was intense, smoky and delicious. Really this was enough for me for the whole night. Mr P. had the soup for his entrée. It had one huge slice of bread across the top of the bowl...read more
Unfortunately I think that this establishment is a victim of their own success. The food was ok depending on what you ordered but service is really their downfall. Understandably Saturday nights are definitely the busiest nights of the week for any restaurant, but it seemed the place was under staffed. It took us half an hour and yelling out to wait staff to be served, even just for drinks! Took hours for food to come out. When they called to confirm my online booking it was more than a week later and they told us that we're being sat at high table due to a function, which they long knew about when I made the booking. Most restaurants I've been to follow up on bookings the day after for...read more
