Montana's BBQ & Bar - Fort St. John

Posted hrs are not respected at all! Was there just after 8pm they are open till 10pm, they said I couldn’t come in because they are short staffed?. I was looking forward to BarBQ for a couple of weeks, and drove 2.5hrs to come for ribs. Montana’s really let me down!

I visited Montana's in FSJ and had lunch there two days in a row. Emily was my server both times and I can't say enough about how wonderful she is. She is the best server I have ever had. I have three kids, two of whom are under 3 years old, and Emily was extremely comforting and reassuring when my 3 year old was acting up. The food was great, but the service was even better. In terms of kid-friendliness, when my 3 year old was misbehaving and not listening, Emily was so kind and reassuring, making me feel like everything was okay and that kids will be kids. Thanks to Emily, I felt much better about the situation.

We were seated promptly, but then waited for 20 minutes without being served or even offered water. Despite other tables receiving attention, we were ignored. Disappointed with the service, we left and will not return. Can anyone suggest a better place for food and service in FSJ?

The service at this restaurant was absolutely terrible. The waitress openly expressed her dislike for working there. The service was very slow, with no one coming even after ringing the bell at the entrance. I will definitely not be returning to this place anytime soon. I cannot comment on the food as it has been 45 minutes and we have not received a refill on our drinks, let alone the bowl of soup.

I've been to this restaurant many times I'm always excited to come back and eat their steak ribs. We came in somewhere around 6:30PM tonight ordered 2 Honkin Beef Ribs 1 Fajitas. The food came in a little longer and we got one big beef ribs for my friend the other ribs for me was small cut in pieces taken out from the bone that looked like scrap. I informed the waitress and she offered to change but I was so hungry I couldn't wait another hour. Didn't want to be rude but it felt disappointing unfair when I left. I said I will still come back but I think I will never come back to this Montana's restaurant again.
