Delicious!! I have had the churrasco steak 3 times. It was perfect every time. Very high quality, flavorful food. A cozy restaurant with wonderful food.
Fresh Delicious Mexican!!. This place is a small restaurant, but it has been Zagat rated as Best Mexican before and I can explain why. The 2 chicken taco meal with refried beans and rice is delicious and perfectly made. It comes out piping hot, all white meat marinated chicken, crispy crunchy taco shells, and hot fresh rice and beans, what's not to love?! : Its authentic mexican without having to go and wait for a table at typical Fort Lauderdale mexican restaurants such as La Bamba, etc. All the taste of authentic Mexican in a small, hidden lushly landscaped tiny restaurant nestled in one of Old Fort Lauderdale's shopping centers. Highly recommended. Chips and salsa are out of this world as well. It's an old Fort Lauderdale hidden gem!
Not bad and Good Service. I wanted to try Tipico after hearing some co-workers talk about their food being good. I have to admit after reading some of the negative reviews I was worried about service/servers. Just so everyone knows, I had NO complaints about the service. They were quick and very pleasant. I was served the comp chips and salsa and I really enjoyed them. The chips were hot and you could tell they were homemade. The salsa both hot and mild were served nicely chilled. Usually I get salsa that is warm. They must store the salsa in the frig because it was nice and cool. A good contrast to the hot (temp) chips. I then had the Del Mar Burrito (see pic) which is listed on the menu as a burrito filled with crab and lagostinos. When I ordered this, the server promptly told me that the burrito only had crab in it and not lagostinos. I said I wanted it anyways without the side of beans and for them to give me more yellow rice instead. He gladly said, no problem. My order came out and it looked great and even tasted even better. the burrito wasn't too big but it was filled with real crab and it was piping hot. The rice tasted fresh and was not hard/crunchy like some tex/mex places I have eated at. Overall I like the place and I will be back. Remember to tell them Dan sent you for the above average chips and salsa... and the Crab Burrito. Stay Hungry!
Forget about Fresh Mexican, if you want some gooey, cheesy good Mexican food, the Tipico Cafe delivers.
