Contribuiți la feedbackService was just ok. Our waiter talked so fast we couldn't understand him. He had to repeat himself every time. Then we did it see him for a while..... Food was good but we couldn't see it. Tables are very dark!! If you go ask for a lit up table. They just have a few. We wanted a lit up,table and they wouldn't give it to us. They told us it was for a party of six or more. Meanwhile, we were sat at a table for six but we were just four. The table never got sat for the whole time we were there and then just before we left, they sat four people there. . Stupid. The sushi bar is very lit up and looks nice.
The taste is very average, the service is not good, the waiter forgot the coffee, she said she didn't hear it, the breakfast is Western style, I originally went to eat Japanese food, but I was very disappointed, such breakfast can be found everywhere, there is no need to eat here.
First, the good. Wonderful location, with an attractive interior. Staff at the door were organized and quickly assigned our table. The table had a wonderful view of the beach. That is where the good ends. The waiter came over and we ordered the food. We requested the Waygu Rib and Shrimp Fried Rice and two appetizers. As we requested the rice to come with the Waygu, this is a what we expected. The appetizers showed up with the rice and no waiter. About 10 minutes later the waiter shows up and says no rib is available. So I order the Dry Aged Snapper. Of the waiter goes. About 10 minutes later the floor manager comes over, in a rush, and starts saying something about Australian something. I ask her what she means and she says 'sorry we are out of Snapper because we sold too much yesterday. '. What do I care about yesterday, we are dining tonight. Ok, I ask her to leave the menu so we can choose something and she says I 'll send over a couple of glasses of Prosecco to keep you boozed up. Odd phrasing but Ok. 20 minutes later the waiter shows back up and says do we need anything else!?! Unbelievable. Needless to say we asked for the check and left this comedy store. Thanks for a birthday to remember.
The restaurant is part of the Conrad Hotel on the beach front. We stayed there for 4 nights and had dinner in Takato on 3 of those nights. The food is Japanese/Korean fusion and is quite simply superb. The service is friendly and efficient and we were looked after on each occasion by Sam and Fernando. I highly recommend the sea bass but you must try and use the chopsticks for the full experience, For desert the Sushi style ice cream is delicious. Just try it you wont be disappointed.
This review specifically applies to their management and their absolute lack of customer service. My fiance threw a surpise engagment party post proposal here. When making the reservation he asked if he was allowed to bring outside liquor for a cork fee. They stated yes, it will be $60 dollars per bottle to which my fiance agreed. The day before the reservation, my fiance called and asked if the bottles can be dropped off before the reservation and chilled. They said no problem. Our friends stopped by 2 hours before the reservation, dropped off the bottles which they took with no issue and we thought we were all set. Once we arrived and checked in for our reservation, we were told the cork fee will be $600 per bottle !?!? . My fiance explained what was told to him and asked them to look up who took his reservation so they can get to the bottom of it. They said whoever told you that made a mistake. We asked to speak to the manager. The manager immediately came out with an attitude, handed back the bottles and said we won't honor $60 or $600 and we do not allow any outside bottles. She was incredibly rude and extremely off putting, would not even care to let us speak or even bother to take note of who made the arrangments with my fiance. If one your employees made a mistake, as an establishment, you should honor it. It makes no why they would even take the bottles to begin with if they don't allow outside bottles.
