Cafe Del Mar - Fort Lauderdale

This restaurant is terrible! I wish I could give it 0 stars. We ordered a medium temperature burger and pasta carbonara, but what we received was a burned, bitter burger that seemed to be overcooked to the point of being carcinogenic. The rolls were dry and tasteless, the salad looked like it had been sitting for days, and the tomatoes were shriveled. The pasta carbonara was more like a noodle soup, overcooked and watery. The worst part is that I had a good experience here 4 years ago and recommended it to others. They need to completely overhaul the kitchen staff!

We had a wonderful dining experience at Eat in Fort Lauderdale. The service was excellent and the beach view was great. A special thanks to our server, Alex, for providing outstanding service!

We were caught at this restaurant with a flashy “2 for 1 drinks” advertisement. This advertisement was verbally announced at least twice in the couple minutes we spent outside looking at the menu. We decided to sit down and eat. Upon being seated, all the pricey meals were pointed out to us. We ordered our food, and received some food that was cold. The burgers were bland and the toppings were tasteless. The fries had a horrible flavor. The bacon was chewy and seemed old. Entrees did not come with a side. Upon receiving our ticket, we realized a soda was $17. The large 2 for 1 drinks were $34 a piece. These drinks were virgin drinks, and apparently charged the same with alcohol. The drinks are still full price, so the 2 for 1 was a total joke. There was a gratuity charge within our bill that we were not told about, and didn’t recognize was there right away, so we left an extra, undeserved tip. Our waiter was very short, and quick with conversation. He pushed the expensive items onto us and was there when it could benefit the bill, but not necessarily there for whatever small things we may want. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
