My partner and I had a voucher from Scoopon that entitled us to a burger, chips with sauce, and a drink each. The decor of the place was pretty cool, but the whiteboard behind the counter was out of place. It was a weird looking drawing of a person with food going into its mouth and the daily specials were written in cramped writing around it. We showed our voucher to the girl and we think she wasn't familiar with what came as part of the deal, because she kept asking us if we wanted just the drink, the burger or the fries. There was also a language barrier there too. Not that is an issue but it didn't help matters at the time, communicating to her that the deal gave each of us a full meal set. She had to go and check with her boss, so we waited for ages. She finally agreed to give us our meals. Now here's where it gets interesting. We asked her our options for drinks and she said we had to get it from the vending machine. We were like "how?" She said we'd have to put money in the machine. We told her (again) the deal came with a drink, so we shouldn't be putting in any money, and couldn't she give us one of the milkshakes off the menu? She said that wasn't possible and she'd sort it out once she made our meals. We asked for 2 cokes and sat down. Ten minutes later, she comes in with a $50 note and puts it into the machine, which it rejects. She struggled with it for awhile, then gave up and left. Another ten minutes later, she comes back with coins and gives us our drinks. Now we're waiting for the food. We're talking and this cat comes wandering out of the kitchen. I like cats but I'd prefer them to not be near my food, or touching them before eating. Anyway, it eventually ran off. The burgers took awhile to arrive and surprisingly, they tasted good. Except that I picked the special sauce for the fries and it tasted like thousand island dressing. Maybe it was the whole experience of being in the store and getting our food. But we didn't enjoy our meals as much as should have. It also didn't help that we were the only ones in the store the entire time. gross. (And I guess there's this expectation that if food takes ages to prepare, it's going to be better than just good?)Im not sure I want to go back. That was an odd experience. They have potential to be a good place to eat but they really need to fix a few things....

I went last week with my friend , she is vegan so we ordered the mushroom burger and the vegie burger.. i ate te mushroom.it was simply delicious, the vegie doesnt have any sauce but inthink it doesnt need the taste is good, we definitely coming back . We recommend it

For me, Overloaded Cafe are the best in Melbourne, delicious beef, delicious burgers. I'm addicted to this burgers now. I have tried a lot of burgers here in Melbourne but nothing like this. If you like tasty meat like me, you have to try it.
