Thunderbird Inn - Florissant

Definitely a locals spot and it's easy to feel a little out of place. Don't come here if you are in a hurry because like most mountain towns everyone is relaxed and on their own time.

This place is a hidden gem. I was diverted after a tragic accident and decided to pop in to hang out for a bit. I didn’t think I would be greeted the way I was and I will come back always due to it. Thank you all for welcoming me and accepting me like I was a local. Albeit I’m just from the Springs it meant a great deal to me. Thank you!

Just happened upon this jewel of a place, super nice people, and great wings.

Surprised by how great the food was, really an excellent place to eat if you are in the area. Charming and cozy.

Domestic beers are $4.50I ordered a mushroom swiss cheeseburger, it was the special of the day so I assumed it would come out fast. I can't say if it was good or bad. Waited 30 minutes with no food, tried to pay for the beer and bartender said my food would be out in a minute. Stayed, waited another 10 minutes, no food. I laid a $5 on the bar and left hungry and disappointed.No one in that time got food, couple of people canceled their food orders and paid for their drinks when I first sat down. That should have been an indicator that I'd have a similar experience but I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt.Sad actually...
