Stella's Bakery - Fitchburg

This bakery is amazing. I've loved her sharp cheese bread for years (Drockenburger or breakfast sandwiches with her spicy cheese beans! This week I had a cherry tree for the first time and it's from this world. Fixed is her spinach empanada I used for a pig sandwich. Just amazing.

There are times when I find myself dreaming about the spicy cheese bread. Even though I've moved away from Madison, I miss it so much that I actually paid for overnight shipping just to have it for my birthday. It's absolutely delicious!

Only Stella had from the peasant market, but the spicy cheese bread is obviously amazing!! Also tried their pulp and it was really good- especially immersed in spicy hummus! You need to taste their sweet bakery goods (and visit their actual store!

Have sent 2 Boules as a Christmas gift and lets just say that both Boules were gone in 5 days! Side Note, I tried to send some of these to my friends on the west coast, but shipping $58) is more than the price of boulevards $24), which is unfortunately. If it were cheaper, many people would have got these as Christmas gifts!

Stella's is conveniently situated about a mile north of the Capital City Trail, making it a perfect stop during our refreshing autumn bike ride. We shared an Almond Bear Claw, Cherry Danish, Spinach Empanada, and some hot coffee. Unfortunately, we missed seeing the bakers in action, but it was still enjoyable to watch them. The Hot and Spicy Cheese Bread is a must-try, but everything else in the bakery is equally delightful.
