Contribuiți la feedbackFor dkk 185 they can actually be a very nice and generous three-course burger dinner with appetizer, haupt- und dessert. both my man and I chose to have the steakburger recommended by the waitress and who was a very good choice. the flesh was very tender and the bread seemed to be made at home. I think that pesto was too. I left the bungalow, and I was pretty busy when I was finished. the waitresses (all females) were extremely friendly, smiling and service-impregnated. very nice to be a customer there. also the view of the harbour and the coast of the restaurant was very pleasant. I don't know if I'll ever come back to faarborg, but if I do, I wouldn't mind going back to spisehuset. I would recommend to all others to do so.
Good selection of starters and mains, all food was well cooked and served really nicely. Nice views out across the harbour, big windows on all sides, so it is very light. Easy place for a group to eat or families.
A damp misty February evening anywhere calls for something a bit special. My wife and I were in the small coastal town of Faaborg in the Danish island of Fyn on such a drab evening. Our something a bit special' came in the form of...Spisehuset, a modern, Danish-styled restaurant right by the waterfront. The bar and relaxing area on the groundfloor was perfect for catching up with some e:mails (sad, but true.. and a glass or two of wine. Then upstairs for a wonderful experience! Nicely busy for a winter's evening, the pleasant and spacious restaurant area was welcoming and oh, so cosy. Service was exceptionally good, and provided for us by the patron's partner, who was totally knowledgeable (of course) about the menu and the dishes' preparation. (The kitchen is open' and so one can see the care and attention that goes into bringing one's food perfectly to the table. We both elected for the set 3-course menu of: smoked cod in ginger sauce (sounds odd, but tastes divine The sauce also hides small pieces of grapefruit, and the garnish includes chervil. Magical. Stuffed pork tenderloin came with perfect vegetables including roasted celeriac, and a rich wine sauce. Dessert was a creme brulee. Ok, a little ordinary , but beautifully made and served. And the price? 270 krone per head for the set menu. A bargain here in Denmark!!! Spisehuset has a sister restaurant also in Faaborg Det Hvide Pakhus. It, too is close by the waterfront. We've eaten lunch there a couple of times in the summer. The high quality of service, surroundings and super food (tried hard for the alliteration, but.. is mirrored really well in the two establishments.
Faaborg harbour can be busy, but at December lunchtime it was quiet. We were thus lucky to find this restaurant open. We were invited to the upper floor, and indeed, it was very nice, with a pleasant view over the harbour and the fjord. The...sun was very low, so a bit disturbing, but the atmosphere was good. We took the lunch deal, a chicken sandwich and a beer of your choice, and it turned out to be a very good choice. The food was served quite quickly be the friendly waiter. After the sandwich we had coffee, likewise absolutely good. We might certainly come back here.
Spisehuset has a nice location close to the sea and with a nice view particularly from the 1st floor. We had lunch Stjerneskud and local beer which both were very nice and fine service. Dog not allowed but weather was fine so we could be...served outside. Only negative comment is the price for the Stjerneskud We actually wanted to have lunch at the Det Hvide Pakhus, but we send to Spisehuset although the price was 45% higher for the fish dish at Spisehuset compared to Det Hvide Pakhus.
