Phil's Barbeque - Eufaula

The best BBQ in Alabama! We passed through the city on our way back to Florida and decided to stop for lunch. I ordered the sampler plate, and it was absolutely delicious. My only regret is that I didn’t get a full plate of ribs; they’ve been on my mind ever since we got home. I give Phil's BBQ five stars!

Awesome BBQ! The ribs are really tasty, but the chicken is out of this world, and the sauce is fantastic. Plus, the restaurant is extremely clean!

One area for improvement would be to provide real lemon slices instead of just bottled lemon juice. Had I not been vaccinated for COVID, I might have felt uneasy while filling my sauce and drink, but thankfully, I felt comfortable. There was a hand sanitizer dispenser near the ordering counter when you walk in, which was reassuring. The walls were adorned with pictures of anglers and local sports heroes, showcasing a community that knows a great barbecue spot when they see one. The restaurant is tucked just off the main road, easily identifiable by the billboard. I can't wait to return to the area and try the ribs!

I worked in Eufaula for years, but this is the first time I had eaten at Phil. I stole all my mates there. It was on a Saturday. The food came out quickly. I got my tea in my cup before the food was ready. Outstanding grill and sides.

Wonderful family operated place, gracious staff and owners, and dog friendly seating! I had sampled a mustard based sauce in Alabama years ago, craved ever since and this was the best a very local/regional twist on it that is a welcome (and superior imo) to the typical hickory sauce The owner came out to talk, they all gave my dogs attention, i was so excited about sandwich I forgot to take pictures
