Mediterranean - ETTALONG BEACH

Over the years Ive seen many different owner/managers here, but these people I think are conscientious, and put a little extra in the quality, the fish pieces & scallops were yummy, my only remark would be the wax paper box containers don't absorb the oils, being in the food industry, less is best here, oh, & the burgers are yummy...well done people!

Demanded money back as the scallops I ordered were so full of oil it squirted out when I bit into it.

Ordered bacon and egg roll and hash brown it was so bad had to throw it out the oil is old do not recommend this place

Went here with work colleague for take away lunch.Ordered calamari and chips and fish cocktails and chips.Batter was a strange yellow colour.Calamari and cocktails looked large but it was because batter was most of what made up these.Fish had been pounded paper thin.Overall disgusting don't risk eating there

The service was ok, lady was lovely and personable.They gave a slice of lemon to go with the fish which is great.BUT. The food was BAD!! Thick old batter on fish which had gone sour, tasted like bad milk or something similar.Fish was bad, slimy and off. Wouldn't feed it to my dog. Wasn't an off white colour like fresh/frozen fish is. It was yellow and a slight green tinge.I didn't eat mine after a bite into it, but my friend ended up vomiting a short while after eating hers.The chips were standard. Came from a packet it seemed. Hard to screw up.The oil was obviously old. Could taste it through the fish and the chips.While I was in there ordering I should've taken the old fruit salad as a sign of whats to come. It was wilted and left in it's own juices. Seemed like there was slime on top.I tried ringing up to say something about the food and to warn them their product is off but I was met with a big "This number has been disconnected."I didn't want a refund for the overpriced fish cocktails I got. (1.40 for something that is 60% batter)I didnt want to cause trouble either, just to give them a heads up.All in all it was a very disappointing visit for me after not being in this area for years. Such a bad change to one of my once favourite shops. I just hope noone else gets sick.
