The hotel itself was okay and the bar staff were very friendly. The food on the menu was typical pub food but when we received it, it was average. The kids meals were very disappointing, one serving was burnt on the grill and the other not as described on the menu. Don't think we'll return.

Generous servings, fast service. Not a gourmet delight but rock solid fish and chips. Avoid the loud music nights..a bit of daggy dad dancing

Air conditioning does not work in public bar area. Tried to open windows at front where one sits to see the people go by on a hot day. Was abused by management for daring to open window on an extremely hot day when the temperature outside was actually cooler by a degree or two. Obviously not been trained in hospitality.

The hotel was looking a little tired with large wear and dirt marks near our table. The eating area is very close to the other section with the noise bouncing around the area. A limited menu of the usual pub food. We had chicken parma which came with chips and salad. It was okay. Drink prices were expensive for a pub. Kids eat free on Friday was a bonus.
