Amputte - Essen

Amputte har mycket god mat, skön atmosfär och miljö. vi åt där igår den 22 april, lördag. det var inte många där vi kom och beställde mat, halv åtta kanske. under tiden vi var kvar fylldes restaurangen med gastr. och det är här min kritik kommer. det var bara en person, mycket proffissionell, som serverade. men inte ens han kunde hålla takten då stället fylldes. det blew lång väntan med att betala. det irriterade mig. annars var allt bara bra.

Here is the place to go if you want to experience the atmosphere of the old bar and pub style of the Ruhrpott. No fancy bells and whistles, straight the beer and the food. Try the "Samtkragen" for a shot experience.

Great rump steak , cooked perfectly , not a very big portion but value for money nice atmosphere , only locals in the bar , English menu , good tap beer, noisy but that's how a local pub is

Spending a lot of time as a very young child in the pub underneath me,I went to the amputte in 1978, the 1 thing I'll always remember is that amazing smells of food, beer, cigggerets,and cigars, Wich I never forget.It has a warm and friendly atmosphere,full of all sorts of characters,It was like being at home if any 1 goes to Essen they should go there first ,To get the feeling of going back in time it's a very , very old pub.

I was in Essen for the Spiel'16 fair and I literally found myself in front of this restaurant while returning to the hotel. Extremely good cuisine and friendly waiter (most probably the owner) made my night. I would recommend it with no doubt and next year I will absolutely return, if I get the chance. Top notch, ambient, service and food.
