Escalante Mercantile Natural Grocery

Had the pleasure of meeting Marcie and shopping at her beautiful store on our way through town last month. We had delicious breakfast sandwiches, dirty chai( highly recommend), bought some treats for the road and enjoyed some lovely conversation. It was a nice surprise to find the wide selection of organic food that Marcie carries. Don’t miss this stop!

Great products that are organic, sustainable, and healthy. Eggs come from the hens outside and all organic produce. I bought some natural products and had some fresh smoothies!

Love this beautiful little shop! We stopped here on our UT road trip and it was by far one of my favorite stops. The owner was SO friendly and the PB Chocolate Banana smoothie was to die for! If I lived in Escalante (or closer to UT for that matter) I'd be here ALL the time! I have no doubts that everything on the menu is great!

2 stars as a coffeeshop. not really fresh vegan baked. bonus that they have soy and haefer milk. 4 stars as a market because they have vegan options that I have never seen. really surprised to load one like this in a “back the blue” powder sticker on the truck type of the city, but the vibe is actually great. the terrace is sunny and cozy, and there was even a sweet dog that roams around, politely grazed on falling morsel, with only an occasional ggen view. 3/5, but 3 is as good as 5 if they have no competition in the city. So, if they are hungry or thirsty or just looking for a nice interaction with the personal, they roll in.
