Moriskos - Envigado

This new Italian restaurant is located in downtown Envigado, a block east of Parque Envigado. Their menu includes crepes, waffles, pizza, lasagna and pasta but no entree costs more than 20,000 pesos. My girlfriend and I shared a large mango juice for 3,500 pesos which was brought in a large fancy glass. They brought the check on a fancy silver tray with a couple hard candies. We were in no hurry and there was no attempt to get us to leave. Due to a quick thunderstorm we were stranded there for some time and the restaurant got quite busy. We decided to share a pizza and a strawberry juice. I’m used to it taking at least 20 minutes but the pizza arrived in only 10 minutes and was very tasty. Here is our bill: 3,500 – Mango juice (made with water) 4,000 – Strawberry juice (made with milk) 13,000 – Pizza Napolitana (cheese, tomatoes, oregano) 20,500 – TOTAL (less than $6.50) The restaurant is across the street from clinic Nueva eps. My girlfriend and I visited this restaurant the afternoon of Wednesday, January 6th, 2016 at the time when a US Dollar was valued at about 3,200 Colombian Pesos.

Not worth a special trip, but if you happen to be in the area, this place has decent Italian cuisine and large fruit shakes.

It has been more than 6 months since I first visited this restaurant; This time I was visited with my son from the states. He ordered the pizza Moriskos (meat and tomatoes), which was definitely big enough for 2. I had her cream of onion soup, which was very tasty and her queen Hamburger, who is big enough for a king. It came with cheese, tomatoes, salad, grilled onions and bacon. I also had a strawberry juice and my son had 2 pineapple juices. This was our bill: 8,000 – cream of onion soup 11,000 – 3 fresh juices 15,000 – Queen Hamburger 18,000 – Pizza Moriskos 56,800 – TOTAL (including 10% tip; less than $20) My son and I visited this restaurant in the afternoon of Saturday, 10. September 2016 at the time when a US dollar was estimated at about 2,900 Colombian pesos.

La comida es deliciosa. Todo estuvo excelente, desde la entrada hasta el postre. El menú ofrece una gran variedad, pizza, pasta, crepe, carnes, cremas, postres, limonadas, jugos, licores, entre otros. No se tardan en servir los platos. Y me obsequiaron un postre por ser mi cumpleaños.

Una cena deliciosa, con sabores no encontrados en sitios similares, la pasta larga estaba en su punto perfecto, con salsa bechamel la mía y la de mi esposa con salsa alfredo,le dieron a los platos un toque distinto, acompañada de una deliciosa copa de vino tinto, luego el postre de la casa por el cumpleaños, fue un sabroso detalle de la casa.
