Terrazas Restaurant - Ensenada

We were staying nearby, and ate here a few times....the last time we had food here it was a Saturday late afternoon, sat outside to watch the sunset, which is spectacular, they will allow your dog on the patio outside. Started off with the best margaritas, Miguel makes the best ever margaritas.....our friends who come here won't have a margarita unless Miguel is working. Dinner was good.....I had blackened fish, wife had deep fried calamari.....we enjoyed our food. But that night I was very ill. I never went back and I didn't tell the restaurant I had been ill. I did eat salsa out of a bowl....wife didn't eat any. So I don't know what hit me. I was debating if I should mention my experience on tripadvisor. Wife's experience was fine, but not mine. The food here seems to be up and then down. It puts you off going back, at least for awhile. The restaurant has a spectacular setting under Palm trees and right on the ocean, which is stunning.

Grab a patio table and watch the sun slip into the sea while enjoying one of Mike's great margaritas. Then enjoy the well prepared classic dishes. There are a lot of great eating places in Ensenada. This is one of them. My squid steak was perfect. The coconut shrimp were succulent. The fish filet was pronounced terrific. The service is smooth and expert. All the waiters are charming and friendly. Well worth a visit. We'll be back for sure.

The hotel is not in the best of condition, but the restaurant is a different matter. its worth coming here for a meal, even if you do not stay at the hotel. The staff is friendly and efficient, the food (at least for us), was great, and the view out over the coast is great, especially at night. Its a relaxing and tranquil place to eat and drink. There is plenty of free, secure parking. You will need to pass two different guard posts on your way in, its not an issue if you look respectable and tell them that you are going for a meal.

Excelente lugar y buen servicio, si buscas relajarte en Ensenada pasate unrato ahi, El estero es un magnifico lugar para esar cerca de la naturaleza, despues de comer puedes caminar por todo el andador en donde podras aboservar una gran variedad de especies marinas.

Had a few meals here...including Margarita's...often....and I give Miguel's Margarita's an 11 out of 10. Pure lime juice, on the rocks...delicious....thirst quenching. I miss them already! The breakfasts were scrumptious, hot cakes were memorable. Everything we had was good. Dinner was prawns and I had white fish Vera Cruzana...spicy and tasty. We are coming back for more...really enjoyed the server's and bar tender Miguel...very attentive and so friendly......I recommend this experience to everyone. Nothing but praise to say. Thanks staff at the Terraza...you were great to us.
