Awful staff muggings regularly happen outside this establishment and CCTV camera apparently never works. Unsafe place to visit after dark. Avoid!

This is the worst chicken shop I have ever been to. Have you ever been to Nando's, paid for your meal, and then been told that you have to pay extra for your sauce? They only give you half a teaspoon of sauce for 30p. Places like this should not be allowed to operate on our streets and rip people off.

The chicken shop, now known as Peri Peri Original, has undergone multiple transformations and is currently operating as a franchise. Despite some negative past reviews, my experience dining there was quite satisfactory. I ordered the full hot Peri Peri chicken for takeout and although they were out of peri chips, the regular fries were still delicious. The food was flavorful and seemed freshly made, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Although I would be cautious about dining in if I were over 18, I will definitely return for takeout. Fried chicken has become a popular option for quick and affordable meals, and while I have reservations about it being the go-to choice for younger generations, it serves a purpose as a convenient comfort food. In a way, it's like a more casual version of Nando's.

I have visited this restaurant several times and it is absolutely delicious. I was very happy with the food I received, it was brilliant. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive to all your needs. I highly recommend going there, you will be very satisfied.

Decided to try here after a recent re furb and was left bitterly disappointed. The place was extremely dirty- tables not cleaned and much on the floor. Ordered a Giant Chicken Fillet burger which took an eternity to arrive and when it did it was completly tasteless along with lukewarm chips. Will not be trying here again.
