Curry Paradise - Elora

My husband and I went in to try out this restaurant today. We weren't very hungry. We asked a simple question: May we split the $13 lunch special as we're not very hungry. The answer was yes. We received a simple lunch of four pieces of butter chicken in a little bit of gravy-Fine. But the bill came and he charged us for every single thing that was supposed to be included in the lunch. The rice and the bread cost so much that our bill was $27. More than the cost of two lunches. I guess he didn't get the concept.

The restaurant is operating on a restricted menu as they sort things out. Rumour had it that the oven for doing naan bread hadn't arrived yet. The inside seems a little sparse (couple of tables and a counter that may be a holdout from the previous tenant) and presumably they will have a little more decor when they formally open. My son and and wife grabbed a butter chicken and vegetarian curry on the Mothers Day weekend. I went for takeout last night based on their positive feedback. Ordered a chickpea vegetarian curry and their special chicken dish for the night. Lots of complexity of flavours in both dishes and a nice elevated heat level without being extreme About $30 for two good sized dishes. Will be back again. The aroma when you pull up outside is amazing!!

Just eating a lovely curry - nice blend of flavours. Will definitely go back to try the rest of the menu!

Opening day and I just had lunch there. The people are very friendly, service was prompt but not rushed. I had the opening day special. The food was excellent and plentiful. I will definitely be back.

The food was pretty good. The staff pleasant. The restaurant minimalistic without much ambiance and not as clean as it could have been considering it is brand new. The pricing I found a bit high...$4 for a mango lassi that was quite small. A good place for take out when you don't want to drive to Fergus or Guelph. Handicapped accessible.
