The bakery is cozy, Peter is so friendly, and the food is delicious!I went for lunch today and had the #11, Bratwurst and Schnitzel (I chose to have curry sauce over mine), and my wife had the #9, Jagerschnitzel. Both plates were perfectly complemented by a potato salad and bread roll. Every inch of the dishes were delicious! Paired with our lunch, I went with a Flensburger Dunkel that I highly recommend if you like darker beers as I do.My wife and I have visited Peter's in the past and also have ordered cakes as well. Everything we've had has been a delight and I highly recommend it to everyone. I'm excited to continue to explore the menu and all of Peter's offerings.
Surprisingly good German food in El Paso. We had the Jaeger Schnitzel and the Hawaiian Schnitzel with Bratwurst and potato salad. Everything tasted very good. This is a small place with limited menu, but worth the visit. Great selection of cakes and pastries. We tried the Apple Strudel and the Black Forest cake.Food: 4/5
Wow, I don't know if I was just hungry already, but this was some of the best tasting food I've had in El Paso so far. The potato salad, the bratwurst, the bread, and the sauerkraut, all excellent. The customer service was great along with the German themed atmosphere. I can't wait to visit again!Food: 5/5
Being from Alamogordo where we don't have any German restaurants in town, despite formerly having a German Air Force Base, this was a wonderful treat after a doctor's appointment. The environment was so inviting, the man running the business was also wonderful. It just had a make yourself at home feeling and I loved it. Paired with the charming decor, wonderful German music playing , the little shop to pick from many imports , and the delicious food.I had the number 9 Jager schnitzel. The mushroom sauce was so tasty, schnitzel was so tasty, I even got to try a bratwurst that was well flavored. Potato salad was also so well balanced. And the bread don't even get me started. It was so fresh and such a good thing to even put the meal.
I'm buying bread pretty often at Peter's. It reminds me a Polish one as I'm from Poland. I also bought a German gooseberry jam which is popular in my homeland part of Europe and hard to find in the USA. Sometimes I buy cheesecake, because it is simply the best in the area! Made from real farmers cheese I assumed. Not so sweet and artificially taste as i found in the big box stores. Definitely the place to go for some central-east European food taste.
