Viphalay Laos Thai - Edmonton

Incredible restaurant, incredible food, still visiting and ordering since we moved well out of Downtown.

Dietary restrictions: I was able to ask questions and got the information I needed to ensure I could eat here safely without getting sick (gluten, dairy, and egg).

Before the pandemic, this was one of my absolute favorite Thai places. Unfortunately, when I was finally able to return, the dishes seemed like they were much less homemade and more ready-made. Having said that, the flavors were still good, although a little too sweet for my liking. The servers were very friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes ingredients for my dietary needs,and we didn't have any wait when we arrived to be seated. So, overall, it was a pleasant enough experience for a working lunch, but I probably will not be clambering for another reservation.Dietary restrictions: I was able to ask and receive adequate information to ensure I could confidentiality eat here without getting sick. This is one of the top dining spots in Edmonton. It's one of my favorite places for special occasions. You can't beat their Red Wine Shrimp—it's simply outstanding!

This restaurant is a perfect 10/10! The food is delicious, well-seasoned, and of excellent quality. We ordered a variety of dishes, and every single one was outstanding. Their desserts are simply amazing; the roti roll and banana pancakes are divine. The service is also excellent, with staff who are incredibly welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend visiting this place—it's one of the best Thai restaurants in the area. You definitely won't be disappointed!
