The most disgusting food and service I have had the displeasure of experiencing, never go here, run as fast as you can to Mcdonalds, service was horrible, didnt get served,
Always fresh, best bang for your buck if you are a big eater. Was there on the Ukranian buffet day, nothing like a big feast of perogies.
We eat regularly at the buffet in Tyson's Grill. It features good home style cooking at great prices. There are always two soups, a good assortment of fresh salads and eight hot dishes including great perogies and cabbage rolls, potatoes and gravy, and a variety of meat and fish dishes. It is always tasty and I have taken Ukrainian friends who are impressed by the authentic quality of the perogies and cabbage rolls. I always love the fish. It's homemade, like everything else, and may be breaded, battered or poached in a lemon or creamy dill sauce. There are a variety of desserts and neat things like head cheese or olives for adventurous types. Coffee or tea is included and you won't find a meal like this anywhere else in the city.As for the hotel itself, some friends stayed there for a week between apartments. They had to change hotels after a week because it was Rodeo Week and all the rooms were booked. They had a larger, nicer room here than the substandard place they stayed the following week in the west end. It was also more economical at the Travelodge East and since they booked direct, not through an online booking service, they got the breakfast buffet with the room. They raved about how good the room was and how the week spent there felt like a vacation, especially when they compared it to their lodgings the following week. Some other reviewers have commented about the part of town this is in. It's in Olde Towne Beverly, with a lot of history and some colourful characters, but for those of us who live here, we take those things in stride. My friends felt safe and comfortable here. There is convenient access to Rexall Place straight down the road. It's a good place to stay or to visit for a good meal at a great price.
The food and the service are always good here. The staff are always friendly and cheerful no matter when we show up. There's a senior's menu which can also be used by people who have smaller appetites. If you come on a Sunday, it can get very busy so you have to be very patient. Other days of the week are busy as well, but not as busy as Sundays.
