Tony Roma's - Edmonton

I walked into the restaurant to do a take-out order. Staff greeted me once inside and provided a menu, took my order and gave me an estimated time when it would be ready. As the restaurant was not busy, the order was ready fairly quickly. I could see that seating in the restaurant was limited due to Covid-19. In addition, there was hand sanitizer available at the entrance. One set of doors was used for entering, the other for exiting. I had the rib sampler. All of the different variety of ribs were delicious. A couple were drenched in a bit too much sauce, but that was easy enough to remove. The person who took my order and delivered the food to me was very friendly and cheerful. Parking was not an issue as the mall parking was readily available.

The service there is usually exceptional, it has only happened once in all the years that we have gone there that the service was poor or substandard. On our las visit we had Nena and she is fantastic.

Not a good experience. 6 of us went. It was mother-in-law's 90th birthday. The restaurant seemed to have only one server and she was run ragged. Took a long time to take our orders. My potato soup was barely warm. Took a long time to get our meals. They forgot to enter the order for my wife's meal so we were all done eating before she got her meal. My $32 steak was over-cooked and dry. A couple orders were mixed up. Not impressed.

Don't worry this Tony Roma's will remain open while others get their house in order. I can't believe the hostess still has a job but forget about her. Ask for Lynn to be your server and enjoy your food. Lately, at all locations the baked potato soup has been disappointing as you had to hunt for this vegetable. This time it was actually loaded with big chunks of potato. The creamy broth was cheesy and delightful on a cold evening. We also enjoyed the salmon as well as the rib sampler. This location has quickly become my favourite after a few others were inconsistent due to food and service.
