Joey Restaurants - Edmonton

Once again I had an amazing time at Joey Mayfield, not only was the food top notch. But the service was incredible, my waitress Renée was super friendly and paid very close attention to detail. Can’t wait to come back! ???

Nice option for a meal with friends. Food and service has always been great and the staff are always accommodating and will correct any mistakes without any issues. Wasn’t super busy when we went on a Saturday night but we made reservations just in case.

Restaurant and lounge was empty yet they said 5 minute wait for a table for 2 then 2 other couples came in with out a reservation and got seated immediately, it was like we weren’t even there. We waited 15 minutes and finally got a table as we were about to leave. Worst front door service I’ve had in years. Fortunately our sever was great and happy to serve us. Will be a while before I come back. Definitely will not recommend

This was our second time eating dinner at this restaurant, but we will not be returning. The atmosphere and decor were great, but the service left a lot to be desired. The food was just ok. We found the menu somewhat limited and quite pretentious. Also pricey. I ordered the ravioli, and when I took my first bite, the pasta was rubbery. Pasta should be la dente have some tooth, but should not need a knife to cut it. They redid my order, but the second plate was thrown together and not much of an improvement. My partner 's steak frite was well cooked, and fries were good. We ordered a second glass of wine, reminded one of the servers, and it still took 30 minutes to arrive. By then my partner 's meal was finished, and mine had just arrived. We thought we might have dessert, and waited 20 minutes for the server to come back to our table. Another 10 minutes for her to return with the dessert menus. By then we no longer wanted dessert. The restaurant was not very busy for a Friday night, so there were lots of staff.

Ordered take out. Fast, but an extremely meager portion. 8 ravioli, 8 small shrimp and 1/2 cup of sauce for a main course $31. Food was good, but it was more like a small appetizer. 2 stars.Update: It's not all bad. I dined in, two weeks later. As usual, the atmosphere and food was very good, and the server we had was excellent (I wish I had caught her name). I enjoyed the food, including the portion. 4.5 stars.I'm still a little hesitant with ordering take out in the future, but I did get a response from the manager which is something.
