Joey Restaurants - Edmonton

I have several food allergies to avoid and our server Gino knew the menu inside and out. He could list every ingredient in every dish and checked with the chef several times before I made my decision. The food was delicious and I didn't have any negative reaction at all. I really appreciated the time he took to make sure all ingredients were safe to consume. Excellent service and food!

Had some difficulty trying to decide where to eat but eventually landed on this place. Well, it was a real winner. Everything from the great service to the delicious food made our evening one to remember. Food presentation and flavour of all of the dishes was impressive, particularly in a time where restaurant food can be so hit and miss. We particularly enjoyed the hummus and tzatziki starter as the combination of flavours was lovely. It even converted one of our friends to become a hummus lover. The atmosphere was relaxing yet comfortable, the service was attentive but not overbearing and a great time was had by all members of our group. Well done!

Arrived just before 5 pm. No hostess at the door to seat us. After waiting 10 minutes we went to find a manager who seats us and promises a high chair for the child with us (that never came). After being seated, 20 min without a server acknowledging us. I asked a staff member to send a server over. Another 5 min and still nobody acknowledges us. Find the manager again tell him we 're ready to order but he only takes drink orders and we wait another 5 min for a server to arrive. So after 40 min. We have our order taken. Appetizers of course arrive before the drinks somehow. Then the entrées take 30 min. Plates are scattered all over the table throughout the meal and waters never once topped up. Then 15 min after asking for the bill were still waiting. I seek out a manager for a 3rd time and he brings the check with a half hearted apology. It 's busy . Well so is every other restaurant in the area that we 'll be choosing again in the future. I live Joey 's but this was hands down my worst dining experience. Enough to never return to this location. Food was good as expected but front of house needs some serious wake up calls.

Went on a business dinner and had a great time. Our waiter was excellent and gave good suggestions that we liked. The food was excellent and well prepared and everyone liked their choices.

A group of 5 met for a business lunch and show Joe's South Common near their work. An excellent choice that doesn't fail. Large comfy booths. Nice atmosphere.Attentive service. Large varied menu. Good reasonably priced food. Definitely worth a repeat visit
