Contribuiți la feedbackMy partner and I went to dinner here. We arrived at noon and the place was busy. Nevertheless, we arrived at the place where your order came here in about four minutes. Choose your own table and wait for the device that is provided to you at the time of the order to ring and then pick up your order. We waited for our meal for about seven minutes. The menu has all Vietnamese favorites: rolls, soup, pasta etcetera. Standard selection of proteins: shrimp, chicken etcetera is offered with a variety of sauces. All ingredients are fresh, flavors rich and beautifully presented for delicious authentic dishes. There is a good soft drink and alcohol menu. Prices are very competitive. The restaurant is super clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. This place is good for families, singles and couples. In the night it would work for dinner or for an appointment. If I return safely to Edmonton.
It starts with the staff directing us to the other register and then being sent back to the first one. The Tom Yum soup was an over peppered weak vegetable soup. The sub was ok but was not traditional. For $9.00 for only a sandwich billed as a Banh Mi it was misleading.
We visited Hoang Long 's new location after missing the old location on 170 street when it closed a couple of years ago. There was a groupon offered which made it a good deal so paired with a movie it was a nice date night! The first thing you notice is that the decor is fresh and pays classy tribute to oriental design. The place looks light and clean and you can look over the kitchen and food prep area and see how clean it is. The menu is nicely varied with a large vegetarian selection. We ordered a salad trio which was a plate of the 3 salads they serve, a Thai salad, a mango salad and a green papaya salad. This plate alone would be enough for two people. But we also ordered the Happy Tray which was 2 skewers of each of Chicken, Beef, Pork and Shrimp. Lots of food to take home and the entire bill was $35 not including tip and we only had water to drink. Their lunch area looks interesting with a large selection, it seems you select your food and pay by the weight. If I am ever downtown for lunch I will check it out!
I just picked up lunch here and I was underwhelmed. Salad rolls fell apart (and cut the shrimp half sadly). It also took more than 30 minutes as Skip the Dishes took priority. At least it was fresh. If you want to pick up something here, call.
This restaurant experience was absolutely dreadful. I ordered 1 item through an app that had already indicated it would take 10 minutes longer than usual. I arrived 15 minutes after the scheduled time only to find out that my order had not even been started yet... 30 minutes after placing it! This level of service is completely unacceptable.
