Bianco - Edmonton

When I approached it looked like it wasn't busy from the outside. When I entered I was met by one of the most lovely blonde hostesses ever. We were led to our table and service was above and beyond. I have a lot of favorite Italian restaurants I visit around north America and this is in the top 10. The food was fabulous. Prices reasonable.. had two bottles of chianti so that increased our bill.

I had the linguine al nere, campanelle argusta, and caffeine affogato. Both pasta dishes featured seafood and came with a generous portion of it. The pasta was fresh and cooked to perfection. The addition of Parmesan and freshly ground pepper was a nice touch. The ink in the linguine al nere lent a subtle flavor, and the cream and sauce beneath it were outstanding. The caffeine affogato boasted a rich espresso flavor, which was fantastic!

Enjoyed the atmosphere, food was flavourful without feeling overly heavy. Split this amount of food between 3 people.Carbonara was a bit too rich for me. Loved the calamari, lightly breaded and a must have appetizer.

Highly recommend Bianco! The atmosphere was great on the patio, the server was very good and friendly, the cocktails were delicious and very unique and the food was awesome. We both had pizza and loved it!

Additionally, our server was notably slow. I mention this because our experience was significantly impacted by what we observed while waiting nearly 20 minutes for our bill. We were seated facing the kitchen/bar, and I noticed our server spending most of his time joking around with other staff and standing by the bar instead of attending to customers. I watched him for almost 20 minutes without seeing him attending to drink or food orders. We asked for our bill three times, as he forgot on the first two occasions. This really detracted from our enjoyment, which is unfortunate because the food was truly delicious.
