Contribuiți la feedbackI was saddened to hear that Bare had closed its doors once again. I recently visited for a meal and was not very impressed. However, I have many memories of my younger days spent at this place, particularly with their unique beverage menu. Goodbye TurkTini, you will be missed.
We found the cocktails to be a bit too bitter for our taste, so I opted for a spirit and mixer while my friend tried the Miller's Crossing, which came with a marshmallow garnish and was especially delicious. We also ordered the charcuterie board with bread, meat, and cheese. When the board arrived, we were a bit disappointed as we received two different platters, but we assumed they were just split between the two of us. Looking back at the bill and menu online, it seemed like we were given a combination of the meat and vegetarian boards. The meat on the board was tasty, with flavorful Parma ham, great salami, and delicious chorizo. The cheese selection was good but nothing extraordinary. The fruits and vegetables on the board, like grapes, baby lettuce leaves, celery, and sun-blushed tomatoes, were a nice touch. The board was served with three different dips: hummus, parsley pesto, and chutney. The hummus was decent, the pesto lacked flavor, but the chutney stole the show - it was so good that I found myself finishing it off the plate. The slices of bread were a bit dry, but the crackers were excellent for dipping into the dips. The bill was presented in a unique tobacco box. Overall, while our experience at Slighhouse was okay, it didn't exceed our expectations. The bar snacks were decent but didn't leave a lasting impression.
