What an incredible wee gem! We asked for a table very last minute on a Friday night and they were delighted to welcome us in. Such a beautiful venue! Run by husband and wife it was fantastic to support an independent family restaurant. The wine list is class! They helped recommend a wine we have never had and wouldn’t have opted for divine!! Let’s start with the homemade foccacia so fresh, crusty, salty. This was served with a whipped pesto almond butter. The best bread I’ve ever had. So good I asked to buy some to take home. They kindly gave us some complimentary. We shared starters tuna tartare (so fresh) and beautifully presented. Veal meatballs exploding with flavour and my favourite dish was the vegetarian ravioli with an incredible cheese foam sauce WOW! Mains we had Scottish Wild Boar tagliatelle and Scottish seared grouse. The provenance around this menu should be celebrated the best Italian dinner I’ve ever had using some of the best Scottish ingredients. Thank you for having us. I cannot wait to return!

I had a perfect meal at this restaurant, rating it 10/10. The standout dish for me was the oyster mushroom. The service was amazing and they had a great selection of wines. Overall, it was a wonderful evening.

Once again, Giovanni and Mara have impressed me! This hidden gem is my favorite restaurant in Edinburgh. What sets it apart is their dedication to using honest, organic, and high-quality ingredients. I am very particular about what I eat, opting for clean, non-GMO, and pesticide-free options whenever possible. Giovanni and Mara seem to share my values when it comes to sourcing ingredients, resulting in beautifully crafted dishes that showcase the best flavors. Every plate is thoughtfully composed, with attention to detail in presentation and taste. Giovanni's wine selection and olive oil are always a treat, showcasing his knowledge and passion for food and drink. I feel so fortunate to have found this special restaurant in Edinburgh. A lovely little Italian restaurant with delicious food! After reading positive reviews on Tripadvisor, we chose to eat here on our first night in Edinburgh and we were not disappointed!! The focaccia is incredible. Great food in a lovely setting. We will definitely return on our next visit to Edinburgh!
