Royal Oak Inn - Eden

On Sunday 10. for a frying visit and eating was exceptional. very generous portion, without being excessive, and good quality products and cook. the desserts were also beautiful that they were homemade and they tasted amazing. had not the names of the two people who served us (south African girl and a South African guy), but they were exceptional and could not have provided a better service. overall a great experience, and would certainly return if in the opposite again!

I attempted to make a reservation online but was instructed to call instead. After calling, I was told to send an email. I sent an email and never received a response. When I followed up with another phone call, I was informed that they were too busy to respond to emails but would reply later that afternoon. It has been three days and I still have not heard anything. The lack of communication and professionalism from a supposed hospitality establishment is quite disappointing.

We have just returned home after spending two nights at the Royal Oak. On arrival we had a warm friendly welcome . The room was very clean and everything that was needed available. The restaurant food was of a high standard. Nothing was too much...trouble. We would highly recommend, look forward to a return stay. Thank you to all the staff that made our stay so enjoyable.

Family holiday in Appleby. Went twice to the Royal Oak and had a different burger each time. The food was delicious and I like a big portion size too and this was perfect. I would highly recommend.

We stayed for 3 nights using a delayed travelzoo voucher. We were delighted with our stay. From the minute we walked through the door we were made so welcome by the staff. We had a gorgeous room really unique low ceilings in line with the...age of the property but will all modern and comfortable furniture and fittings. The bathroom was really nice and there was ample room. It was lovely. We took our dog and he too was made really welcome with a doggy gift pack in the room and separate breakfast and dinner menus for him. The food was good with a good choice of menu and not too pricey. It was in a good location with beautiful walks nearby and the Lake District National park around an hour away. We really loved this property and the area and the very welcoming hosts. I would highly recommend it and would love to go back soon.
