Eastchester Super Deli

Sergio was great. So was the food and and atmosphere.

We did not have a pleasant experience. The food and drinks were mediocre at best. The service was awkward and forced. We will not return.

I'm used to thinking about Italian food, and that's not it. the salad with blue cheese, walnuts and pears was barely pollinated with cheese and I found two nuts. there were 4 paper thin discs of hard pear and it seemed the only dressing was a hauch of olive oil, not the lemon dressing described. the spinach gnocchi were mostly indelible and the short rib cannelloni were a disappointment. we chose dessert, the Phantasia chocolate cake was a commercial sort cake and the gelato was more like ice cream. I know gelato and that was not. on a positive note service was excellent.

Food was great as usual, very underrated restaurant!

Have been several times and service, food always great. This past visit, service was really off dinner took 4 hours literally. Parking is always a nightmare. Had to park 6 blocks away.
